Our mission is to empower, educate, and inspire the next generation of field hockey and lacrosse Olympians. Through structured and intentional development in these sports, we aim to equip young girls and boys with essential skills such as sportsmanship, teamwork, self-discipline, and confidence. We emphasize fostering a healthy lifestyle, cultural understanding, a positive body image, and academic excellence. By nurturing these values, we strive to create well-rounded individuals who lead wholesome and productive lives, excelling both on and off the field.

Eyekonz Field Hockey and Lacrosse is a transformative program that empowers youth, ages 5-18, in the Greater Philadelphia area, with a special emphasis on growing field hockey and lacrosse among African-American, Latino, and other underrepresented communities. Through these sports, Eyekonz fosters the development of critical life skills such as perseverance, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and confidence. The program offers players from kindergarten through 12th grade opportunities for both athletic and personal growth by competing in local and regional tournaments. Under the leadership of founder Jazmine A. Smith, Eyekonz operates as a year-round league designed for dedicated athletes who demonstrate passion and commitment to the game, preparing them to succeed both on and off the field.

Our players gain foundational knowledge and develop both basic and advanced technical skills in field hockey and lacrosse, preparing them to compete against teams in Philadelphia and across the United States. Beyond athletics, they participate in a comprehensive life-preparation curriculum that includes African Kemetic, African-American history, and other culturally inclusive histories. The program also emphasizes etiquette, meditation, yoga, self-love practices, daily affirmations, financial literacy, visualization exercises, and guidance on healthy eating and lifestyle choices. Through this holistic approach, our players are empowered to thrive both on and off the field.

We have established a strategic partnership with the University of Pennsylvania to expand opportunities for our athletes, providing access to resources that support their growth in these dynamic sports. Our program is grounded in a holistic coaching approach that emphasizes not only athletic development but also personal growth. Central to this is our Eyekonz methodology, which instills discipline and emphasizes the power of repetition as foundational principles for success.

In addition to their athletic training, participants are required to complete 8 hours of community service within their neighborhoods and maintain academic standards through regular review of their school report cards. This comprehensive approach integrates athletic, academic, and community-focused initiatives to create a robust platform for success. Our mission is to equip the next generation with the skills, discipline, and confidence needed to achieve their aspirations and make a meaningful impact within their communities.
